Drivers in and around Bolton are being warned of motorway lane closures to watch out for this week.

And they are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

In place from until  February 15, there will be moderate delays on the M61 each evening between 8pm and 5am.

This will be in both directions between junctions four and seven and is due to a lane closure for horticulture works including cutting and planting.

A further  closures will begin over the next two weeks too.

 

This is due to lane closures for maintenance works.

Each evening between 9pm and 5am, until  January 28, there will be moderate delays on the M65 eastbound, between junction three and four.

This is due to a lane closure for barrier and fence safety repairs on behalf of National Highways.

From 10pm today ( January 26) to 5am January 27, there will be slight delays on the M61 southbound between junctions eight and six.

This is due to a lane closure for carriageway works including reconstruction and renewal.

Each evening between 8pm and 6am, from January 29 to February 1, there will be slight delays on the M61 southbound between junctions five and three.

This is due to a lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

Finally, from 8pm February 5 to 6am February 6, there will be slight delays on the M61 southbound between junction five and three due to a lane closure for communication works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
