A famous Bolton son has returned to his hometown, where he was spotted in a town factory with film crews.

Paddy McGuinness has been seen at the Warburtons factory in Bolton.

Earlier today, he posted a clip on his Instagram story saying: "Back at Warbies today, look at these lads! Clooney, Jackson, De Niro."

The video shows framed pictures of Hollywood A-listers George Clooney, Samuel L Jackson and Robert De Niro in their adverts for the bread company.

The camera then pans to two adverts featuring his pal Peter Kay hung on the wall. Paddy adds: "Who's that lad, who's this lad here!?"

"I know they were filming inside the bakery and will be outside tomorrow with wagons."

The worker saw him with camera crews.

It is believed that the filming is for the new series of Inside the Factory, after it was announced last year that Paddy is the new anchor of the series in August last year.

Speaking at the time, he said: "One of my first jobs was in a factory so I’ve come full circle. I’m fascinated by the machinery and the people who make it all tick. Hair nets aside, I can’t wait to get cracking!"

Inside the Factory explores the fascinating processes in the factories that produce some of our favourite products.

Whether it’s learning how millions of individual chocolates are wrapped at high speed, or uncovering the surprising techniques used to create leather boots, the series is a celebration of manufacturing in the UK and beyond.

Paddy will join follow presenters Cherry Healey and historian Ruth Goodman, taking over from previous host Gregg Wallace.

Paddy used to work at the bakers in the 1990s, having met up with old friends from the job at The Ivy over Christmas
