Families and children across the borough will have plenty to do over the half term break as Bolton at Home are set to host a variety of activities to enjoy.

Looking for things for you and yours to get up to over this February half term? Here is a list of activities taking place.

Tree planting on Seven Acres, Breightmet – Tuesday, February 20, 11am to 2pm

Do you live in Breightmet and want to spend time outdoors or get involved with a local growing project? Well residents are invited to the Red Lane site where Bolton at Home will be planting new trees.

All tools will be provided, and refreshments will be available too including hot chocolate, hot drinks, S’mores and toasted marshmallows.

Daisy Dell Day of Action, Deane – Wednesday, February 21, 10am to 3pm

Join Bolton at Home at their Daisy Dell site to help clean up the area and build willow domes.

All volunteers will be provided with pasties and light refreshments.

This activity is based at Daisy Dell on Back Malton Avenue, Deane, BL3 4JH and residents who live in the area are invited to take family and friends.

Gardening day on Great Holme estate, Great Lever – Wednesday, February 21, 1pm to 4pm

If residents live on or near the Great Holme estate, they’re invited to pop down as Bolton at Home will be consulting on which flowers to plant for Easter tubs to cover water hole covers and other options for garden areas.

This activity is located at 17 Marlbrook Walk, Great Lever.

New Bury community allotments launch day - Wednesday February 21, 10am to 2pm

Residents in the New Bury area are invited to get involved with the development of a new community space with the launch of the Ash Pit grower’s project.

This activity is based on the corner of Oakfield Grove, BL4 9SW and refreshments will be available too.

Environment action day and art workshop on Great Holme estate, Great Lever – Thursday, February 22, 11am to 3pm

Join Bolton at Home for a recycling arts workshop around the bin store and Lofty the Lion from BWFC will be around to encourage litter picking from 1-2pm.

Bolton at Home also have the fire service attending to advise on how to keep homes safe.

Bolton Wanderers in the Community football activities on Great Holme estate, Great Lever – Friday, February 23, 1pm to 3pm

If your child is a footy fan, the Bolton Wanderers in the Community team will be on the Great Holme estate with some football related activities to round off the last day of the half term holidays.

This activity is located at 17 Marlbrook Walk, Great Lever.
