Farnworth based Howorth Air Technology wins another award

This comes after Farnworth based Howorth Air Technology was honoured with the Best Company Culture Award by business coaching and mentoring specialists ActionCOACH Bolton.

This marks the fourth award Howarth, named as the Bolton News Business Awards’ Company of the Year last September, has won in less than a year.

Managing director Jim Liptrot said: “Winning these awards is a massive recognition of the success that can be achieved by creating, developing and embedding a culture of good employment right across the company.

“Everyone at Howorth knows how important their role is, how much their contribution is valued, and how important everyone who walks through the doors is.

“Howorth has a phenomenal purpose and a team of great people who are all aligned behind the values of The Howorth Way.”

Along with its Lorne Street, Farnworth headquarters, Howorth also has a facility at Ravens Lock, Little Hulton where it creates containment equipment for the pharmaceutical industry.

The company turns over more than £20million a year and employs around 130 people across the UK and America.

Last May Howorth won the Best for Employee Engagement and Most Improved SME categories at the Greater Manchester Good Employment Awards.

This was in recognition for the work it does in promoting the wellbeing and personal growth of its employees.

In June that same year Mr Liptrot himself was named 2023 Board Member of the Year by The Alternative Board Manchester.

The Alternative Board Manchester owner Paul Winterbottom said: “Jim is passionate about Howorth’s purpose of changing lives for the better, which not only relates to the ultimate beneficiaries of the medical and pharma products, but also the whole team at the company.

“He is passionate about people development and provides wise counsel to the other board members about ‘all things people’.

“His recognition is really well deserved, he’s a fantastic member.”

The latest honour was handed to Mr Liptrot by ActionCOACH Bolton managing director Paul Limb.
