Snow is forecast for the North West this week as temperatures fall.
After a mild few days, temperatures are set to return to those expected for this time of year, with 'some hill snow at times' from Thursday to Saturday, according to The Met Office forecast.
The prediction for Thursday to Saturday states: "Remaining unsettled and showery throughout the period. The showers turning heavy at times, with some hill snow at times. Feeling colder than of late as temperature return to near normal."
Temperatures are set to fall into single figures, with highs of eight degrees and lows of three degrees predicted for Thursday.
Similar temperatures are expected for the weekend, with Bolton experiencing and sunshine and clouds, with no rain forecast as yet.
The long range forecast predicts snow may fall at lower levels too in the North.
