New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to a Bolton coffee shop and also a dessert bar.

According to the Food Standards Agency's website, inspectors have rated one eatery a five out of five and the other a four out of five food hygiene rating.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is very good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are good.

La Vita Coffee serves a range of items including hot and iced coffee, burgers, paninis and pasta and also a large range of breakfast dishes.

Rated a 3.6 out of five on Just Eat, La Vita Coffee is open Monday to Saturday between 8.30am and 4.30pm and on Sunday from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the management of food safety are good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is generally satisfactory.

Magic Box serves a range of items including waffles, pancakes, milkshakes and sundaes as well as burgers and loaded fries.

Rated a 4.5 out of five on Just Eat, Magic Box is open Monday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm, Friday 5pm to 11.30pm, Saturday 4pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 4pm to 11pm.

It means that of Bolton's 440 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 246 (56 per cent) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
