Police want to speak to a man with a “distinctive tattoo” in connection with a string of thefts of “high value” alcohol from a supermarket.
The alcohol is believed to have been stolen from the branch of Tesco in Cross Street, Hindley, at least three times.
Officers say that CCTV footage appears to show a man taking the alcohol at least three times, though the true amount may be higher.
A spokesperson said: “Greater Manchester Police are keen to speak to anyone who recognises this man.
“They believe he may be able to help their enquiries regarding several thefts of high-value alcohol from the Tesco store on Cross Street in Hindley, mainly on a weekend.
“Since January, the male has been captured on CCTV three times, which appears to show him taking the alcohol, although police believe this amount may be higher.

“He has been captured in a work uniform and in normal clothing, but the most recent theft on Saturday 9 March 2024 he was pictured with a distinctive tattoo on his left forearm.”
Police have released CCTV images that appear to show the man taking the alcohol.
Anyone who recognises the man has been asked to call police on 101 or by calling 999 in the event of an emergency.
