ON what was the final day to make signings for what remains of the season, Warrington Rylands have added three new players to their squad.

Blues have bolstered all three areas of the field for the final six league games – and whatever may follow in the play-offs – as they bring in defender Jai Nicholls, midfielder Ollie Shenton and forward Sam Burns.

All three are in contention to make their debuts when Rylands make the long trip to Morpeth Town on Saturday in the first of two games over the Easter weekend, with Marine visiting Gorsey Lane on Easter Monday.

Nicholls is the second Salford player to join the squad on loan this season as he joins forward Djavan Pedro at Blues.

Shenton brings higher-level experience to the squad having spent the past four seasons playing in the National League North with Chorley.

He has made 18 appearances for the Magpies this season, scoring twice having previously turned out for Wrexham and Kidderminster Harriers on loan from Stoke City, where he came through the academy.

Burns was most recently playing for Bury and can also count Bootle, Scunthorpe United and FC United of Manchester among his former clubs.
