A pair of rabbits who were spotted cowering under a lorry in a borough car park are looking for new homes.
The rabbits, nicknamed Sooty and Sweep, are a bonded pair looking for a home together.
Black and white Dutch breed rabbit Sooty is around seven-years-old and brown lop Sweep is male and approximately three-years-old.
They have been waiting patiently for a home for more than 300 days, well beyond the average length of stay for homeless rabbits at pet charity Blue Cross.
They were discovered under a lorry in Prestwich.
Hollie Faulkner, assistant manager at Blue Cross in Radcliffe, said: “These terrified bunnies were left in an extremely vulnerable position.
"If the lorry had driven off it was highly likely they would have found themselves under its large wheels.
"We understand times are tough for pet owners during this cost of living crisis, but we urge anyone struggling to cope to contact a charity like Blue Cross and never abandon pets to fend for themselves – especially in areas they could be at risk, like a car park.”

Both rabbits are currently being cared for by a volunteer foster carer.
They have been neutered to prevent unwanted litters of kits.
They are looking for a home that can offer them a large housing space and plenty of opportunities to explore with tunnels and hiding places.
They could live with older children who will understand their needs.
They will also need a regular diet of clean hay and grass with the occasional tasty treat. Their favourites are spinach, kale and cabbage.
