For generations of youngsters, Bolton's various libraries have been special places.
A treasure trove of information for curious young minds, the library has been the place where so many of us have discovered the joy of reading and the world of books.
We have been into the archive and chosen a selection of photographs from 1980 which show some of the many varied events which ere held at libraries around the town to stimulate young imaginations.
Perhaps you were at one of the events and are on a photo or recognise someone who is.
