A bohemian gift shop in the heart of Chester city centre has been put on the market by its owner, who plans to retire.

Fiona Chambers has engaged Blacks Business Brokers to find a new owner to take over Fifi Bambu on Watergate Street, with an asking price of £29,995 to take over the business and premises, plus annual rent of £15,500.

Ms Chambers originally established the business in 1993. She relocated from Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent to her current premises in Chester in 2020.

Fifi Bambu, which Ms Chambers plans to keep open as normal until a new owner is in place, sells a variety of gift items with a bohemian twist. It is located in the ground floor of a mid-terraced property in the heart of Chester’s historic retail district.

Megan Sutherst, deal executive at Blacks Business Brokers, said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to take over a lovely business in a prime location in Chester.

“The location speaks for itself but there is also plenty of scope for a new owner to increase revenues with a concerted online marketing drive, by introducing new product lines, and by increasing opening hours.

"It’s a great business in a great part of the world, and I’m anticipating strong interest.”
