The next Abercych market will take place next weekend, promising a cavalcade of local crafts and produce.

A social hub for villagers and visitors alike, the markets are a meeting place to share ideas and chat over refreshments supplied by the Village Hall Committee.

On display are unique products from local craftspeople, including Jason Wilkins' wood products, handmade children's clothes, cakes, handpainted cards, and hand-dyed wool.

Pembrokeshire growers will present fresh produce, from herbs and salad leaves to coffee offered by Bluestones.

The highlight of the event is often the refreshments, noted for supporting the village hall, enabling attendees to sample several local makers and producers.

This month, the stalls will overflow with a variety of plants, scrumptious cakes, freshly baked bread, homemade jams and preserves, delectable honey, and vegetables aplenty.

Riding for the Disabled's local branch will manage their stall, exhibiting knitted, crocheted and fabric toys, and gifts.

The market runs from 10am till 12.30pm on Saturday, May 11 and every second Saturday of the month at Abercych Village Hall, SA37 0EX.

New stallholders are welcome; if interested, contact Rhianon at rhianonturrell@btinternet.com or on phone 01239 698280.
