The Great British Sewing Bee is returning to our screens this week and thereโ€™s a contestant who works in Manchester taking part.

The contestants from across the UK will take on sewing challenges and aim to impress the judges, Patrick Grant and Esme Young.

Who is Lauren on The Great British Sewing Bee?

Lauren is a finance administrator in Manchester who is inspired by 80s fashion - she loves the bold aspects of the era.

Following in her mumโ€™s footsteps, she is also a talented singer.

  • Alex โ€“ A copywriter/editor who lives in Derbyshire.
  • Comfort - Started sewing after giving birth to her first child as she felt she was lacking creatively.
  • Don โ€“ Learned to sew more than 70 years ago.
  • Georgie โ€“ A club and festival DJ who also likes to knit.
  • Janet โ€“ Born and raised in Yorkshire where she is enjoying her retirement.
  • Lauren โ€“ A finance administrator in Manchester.
  • Luke โ€“ A diversity, equality and inclusion director with a drag persona (Selma Skreams).
  • Marcus โ€“ A teaching assistant and arts award coordinator in London.
  • Neil โ€“ A woodwork instructor in Leicester.
  • Pascha โ€“ A psychology and innovation student.
  • Suzy โ€“ Lives in Liverpool and recently returned to hospitality.
