Foresight first invested in the Bolton company in 2018 to help its management team, led by CEO Denise Leslie, expand its regional coverage and its range of services.

Since 2018 various new jobs have been created at the company and by the end of 2023 ABL had added more than 160 people to its staff.

This has meant that ABL is now a leading company in the community health sector and has increased its total number of clients in the past two years.

These clients have been across the various sectors the company works in, including weight loss, improving physical activity, quitting smoking, and attending alcohol intervention sessions.

The total number of clients has increased from nearly 15,000 to around 50,000, with ABL estimating that 62 per cent of clients are from economically deprived areas.

The Foresight Group says that since 2018 ABL’s sales and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization has increased by around 150 per cent.

Foresight Group partner Claire Alvarez said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Denise and team over the past six years.

“Her team has built a leading name in community healthcare and through its work is contributing to alleviate the growing burden on the NHS.

“Foresight is proud to have worked alongside such a determined team and wish them all the best in their new partnership with Bay Tree.”
