Mayor of Bolton auctioned off a chance to enjoy the beautiful game from one of the executive boxes to raise money for this chose charities.
Cllr Andy Morgan was donated an executive box for the Bolton Wanderers Official game against Wrexham on Sunday from the' amazing Patel family'.
The highest bid of an amazing £1,500 won with the successful bidders being able to take 10 people to enjoy a three course meal and waiter service.
Cllr Morgan said: "This is one of the biggest games of the season and it’s also our first league game at home.
"Every penny of that going into the Mayor of Bolton’s charity fund for distribution to the nominated charities.
"Thank you so much and thank you to everyone who bid."
Bolton Hospice, Bolton FM, Bolton Wanderers in the Community (BWitC) and the Darren Deady Foundation are the chosen charities.
Cllr Morgan has been a Trustee at Bolton Hospice since 2010, a Trustee of Bolton FM since 2018 and has a natural affinity with the Darren Deady Foundation, being a Veteran.
His family business is also a “Community Partner” of Bolton Wanderers in the Community.
