A further weather warning has been issued by the Met Office with thunderstorms and heavy showers set to hit Bolton today, Monday.
The yellow weather warning is in place for much of the UK, including Bolton and the Greater Manchester area until midnight.
The Met Office had issued the weather warning on Saturday, which extended to midnight on Monday.
The statement adds that "areas of heavy showers" and "thunderstorms" are likely to happen from overnight on Monday.
This morning, the warning was lifted from much of southern and eastern England, while including the rest of South and West Wales
The thunderstorms are expected to continue to affect parts of the UK throughout the day.
The threat of thunder and lightning may cause delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
The statement warns of a small change that homes and businesses could be damaged flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightening strikes, hail or strong winds.
Spray and sudden road flooding could also lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures, with a small chance that some communities could be temporarily lost by flooded roads.
Frequent lightning strikes and hail will be additional hazards.
