People in Bolton have been encouraged to come forward with their priorities for tackling crime.

This comes with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority getting ready to set out its new Police and Crime Plan for the next four years.

This will include hearing from people across the city region about what they think the priorities should be.

A Bolton Council statement said: “The Mayor and the Deputy Mayor are responsible for setting priorities for keeping communities’ safe across Greater Manchester over the next four years.

The Police and Crime Plan outlines these priorities and describes how the Greater Manchester Combined Authority will work together with the police, their partners and their communities across the city-region to deliver and achieve these priorities.”

It added: “GMCA now want to hear from you about what should be included within those priorities, to find out what matters most to residents and communities across Greater Manchester and whether there are any priorities they haven’t considered that are of importance to people living within Greater Manchester.”

It says that the “headline priorities” will continue to be keeping people safe and supporting victims, reducing harm and offending and strengthening communities and places.

The survey can be found on the open consultations section of Bolton Council’s website and will be open until Monday October 28.
