A well loved restaurant which was set to lose its premises has secured a new home at the 11th hour.
Lagan Restaurant announced in February this year that they were going to leave their building on Broadgate in Ladybridge.
The Indian eatery, which has served its community for 20 years, will make way for a prayer room after plans were approved in July.
Now, 10 days before it is due to serve its last plate at its current premises, the restaurant's ownership has secured a new home only a few miles away.
Lagan will move to the former site of Nick's Restaurant on Chorley New Road, Horwich, after owner Nick Anthony Cullen announced a move to Bromley Cross.
Co-owner Raj Das said: "More than anything it is a great sense of relief, we were planning to shut on September 29.
"This new restaurant came up on Monday and is has moved really quickly since then. We have been absolutely delighted and touched by the response of our customers.
"Customers have been coming in every day, asking about developments and they have been looking for new sites for us.
"It is overwhelming to be honest, we have been around for 20 years but it is the people we have met along the way, those people who keep coming in. It has been a journey."
The restaurant ownership bidded on another location which fell through, before this location became available.

He added: "A few customers came in over the weekend and told us that Nick's was possibly closing down and suggested we look into it.
"We went to visit the site and loved it, it was just a home where we could get ourselves established into. It is in a good area and we know it well."
Restaurant management estimate it to take three or four weeks to get back on their feet at the new venue following the closure of their current one.
Raj added: "We are aiming to open in early November, to get the place up and running and ready.
"We want to change a few items on the menu, there are off-menu specials that customers have always had so we thought we might integrate them.
"We will also refurbish it, the space is a bit smaller but we want to give it our touch.
"I would like to express our thanks to everyone, we can't stress that enough. The customers have been our backbone through this."
