A Bolton primary school received a VIP visitor on a day of recognition for some of the pupils in Year Six.
Gilnow Primary School received the Bolton North East MP Kirith Entwistle at its site on Gilnow Gardens.
On Friday, Ms Entwistle was responsible for presenting the badges to the Head Pupils, Kaira and Maida, as well as presenting the badges to other pupils with roles of responsibility in Year Six.
The Bolton North East MP was sent to the House of Commons for the first time at this year's General Election.
Kate Hesketh, the headteacher, said: "We have a range of roles of responsibility for our children, including Eco Leaders and Librarians, to help to them to feel ownership of our school."
