A child was injured in a road traffic collision earlier this afternoon.
The collision is believed to have happened on Lee Lane in Horwich at just at around 3.15pm on the afternoon of Friday September 27.
The boy is not believed to have been seriously injured and traffic had been stopped for around 45 minutes as police officers and emergency services went about their work.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 3.15pm to reports of a collision between a car and a young male child.
“The child was taken to hospital, but the injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
“No arrests have been made.
“The road was blocked until about 4pm.”
No one else is believed to have been injured in the incident.

Lee Lane is one of the main roads through Horwich and the incident is believed to have happened close to the centre of the town.
Traffic was reportedly able to pass slowly along Lee Lane from around 4pm onwards on Friday afternoon.
Members of the public have been advised to always call 999 in the event of an emergency as soon as it is safe to do so.
