A primary School is celebrating an inspection which found a "nurturing and welcoming” community.
St Teresa’s Primary School in Little Lever was inspected on November 7 and 8.
Inspectors from the Catholic Schools Inspectorate, the national body that inspects Catholic schools, gave the school an overall rating of 2, equivalent to ‘good’ under the old framework.
They praised the school’s “strong sense of belonging” and “strong leadership”.
The inspection report said: “St Teresa’s RC Primary School is a nurturing and welcoming Catholic community.
“This is evident as soon as you enter the school.
“Pupils seek out ways to be kind to each other and at play they ensure everyone is included.
“Staff are totally committed and are excellent role models for pupils.
“Relationships are built on a foundation of genuine love and care which bear witness to the Catholic life and mission of the school.
“Parents are embraced as partners in forming their children and speak highly of this relationship when they say, ‘This is a safe space, a school that sets children up for life.’”
Headteacher Jenni Willis said: “We are delighted with the findings shared in the report.
“It truly reflects who we aspire to be everyday: a school family that works together to keep the children at the very heart of everything we do!
“A happy place where each person is known, valued and encouraged to be the very best they can be.”

The school was rated one, or outstanding, across the board for its commitment to Catholic life and mission.
However, the report said that the school could improve opportunities for pupils to “deepen understanding in their religious education learning” and participate, plan and lead “experiences of prayer and liturgy”.
Inspectors gave the school a 2 rating for collective worship and religious education.
