Sky customers have received an email of apology with instructions on how to claim a free gift from the company.
This comes as some Sky customers experienced a technical issue with their Sky Q boxes last week.
The email reads: “On the evening of 15 May, a technical issue caused some Sky Q boxes to enter standby mode. Our teams acted quickly to resolve the issue and restore services.
“We understand how frustrating it can be to lose access to your favourite shows and channels, and we apologise for any inconvenience this caused. We’re taking every step to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
Sky customers to receive free gift after technical issue
Sky has said customers will receive a free gift as an apology for the issue that may have interrupted their TVs.
It said: “We’re gifting you a Sky Store Buy & Keep movie — it’s our way of saying thank you for bearing with us.”
To redeem the gift, you need to go to your TV homepage and visit the Sky Store.
Then click on the ‘Your Sky Store gift on us’ tile and choose a film.
Once you download it, the film “is yours to keep forever”.
To redeem the offer, you’ll need to make sure you choose your gift before Saturday, May 31.
