Emergency services were called to a two-car smash in Breightmet last night (Monday), which shut a road for a time.

The crash happened on New Lane where it meets Stitch-mi-Lane.

Emergency services were called just after 8pm.

An ambulance attended, along with two fire engines, which stayed on the scene for an hour, and the police took over the investigation.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “A car and a van, driven by males, were in a road traffic collision. There were no serious injuries and no arrests were made.”
