A Bolton student arrived in style at his prom evening on Wednesday night, July 2, after being dropped off by helicopter.
Aashan Subhani, who is a student at Sharples High School arrived at their leaving do at Last Drop Village Hotel carried by the black chopper.
The 16-year-old was accompanied by his father who was the mastermind behind the grand entrance.
His arrival was met with disbelief by his fellow students as Aashan has not told them that he had planned any of it.
Speaking to the Bolton News, Aashan said: “I was nervous honestly. I have never done before and probably will never do that again as well. It is a great way to celebrate what has been a long year, we have all worked hard and hopefully it pays off in August.
“I hadn’t told anyone, I just let everyone find out on the night and everyone was stunned.”
His father Zeeshan said that he had thought of several possibilities for the night which he considered to be very important.
He also wanted to thank the pilot John who he said gave them both a fantastic experience throughout.

Zeeshan said: “It was a very important night for him and I believe that this life will never come back after you leave the school and you want to celebrate it in the best possible way and we were thinking of many possibilities and then it just came into my mind.
“It was a really good experience. It was our first experience, and it was the best experience I have ever had. Compared to aeroplanes this one was fantastic and a very personalised experience.
“Our pilot John was excellent and he took us through all the important landmarks in the area. It was a very comfortable flight and we are very happy, especially on this occasion.”
