A new gameshow is coming to Channel 4 with the first episode airing this weekend.

The Inheritance is hosted by Robert Rinder and will feature actress Elizabeth Hurley, who has starred in the likes of Gossip Girl, the Austin Powers films, Sharpe and more.

Here’s what we know ahead of its release, including who will take part in the show.

What to expect from The Inheritance

The Radio Times has shared a summary of what viewers can expect as the new series airs: “Robert Rinder hosts this reality game show in which 13 'mourners' enter a large countryside estate and compete to earn as much of the money left behind by 'the Deceased' (played by Elizabeth Hurley).

“In this first episode, the newly arrived players are straight in at the deep end with their first request - fulfilling the final order of the Deceased's boutique wine range”.

Channel 4 added: “Thirteen strangers compete in a cut-throat game of persuasion and betrayal as they carry out The Deceased’s fiendish final requests... How far will they go to inherit a fortune?”
