Youngsters will get the chance to win a “Parliamentary Bear” prize as one of Bolton’s MPs starts up her Christmas card competition.
The competition was launched by Bolton North East MP Kirith Entwistle, with submissions open from primary schools until Monday October 27.
This is the second time Ms Entwistle has run the competition since her election in 2024.
She said: “I loved seeing so much fantastic artwork from local school children when I ran this competition last year and would love to see even more schools taking part this year.
“One lucky winner will have their artwork on the front of my official Christmas card and will also win a Parliamentary Bear.
“You must be at a primary school in my constituency to enter.
“My contact details, and where to send entries, have already been communicated to all primary schools in the area.
“I can’t wait to see all your brilliant designs!”
Ms Entwistle has already been in touch with primary schools across the Bolton North East constituency about the competition.

Entries will need to be on a white A5 sheet of paper and to be designed with crayons, pens or paint.
Ms Entwistle has asked that entries are not made with glitter or 3D materials like cotton wool, as it will not be possible to re-print these onto the final card.
A winner is expected to be announced this November.
