A high school and youth project have teamed up to host an action-packed community event this November.

Be The Change Youth Project and Ladybridge High School are inviting residents to “connect, chat and discover.”

On Friday, November 28, residents are welcome to visit Be The Change HQ on Deane Church Lane.

The event, from 10am to 12pm, will feature free refreshments, games and activities, an opportunity to discover local services, and a chance to meet the youth project’s volunteers.

The event has been funded by the Live Well Communities Fund.

The Live Well Communities Fund has been co-designed in collaboration with the VCSE sector and residents of North Manchester, through “listening to community priorities, local knowledge, and lived experience.”

The fund aims to reduce health and racial inequalities by supporting grassroots organisations led by and working with Global Majority communities, support newly emerging groups to pilot new ideas, and allow established groups to deepen and sustain their impact on community health and racial inequalities.

Residents do not need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
