A Bolton community dance group is heading for a truly magical milestone after being chosen to perform at Disneyland Paris this October.
Bolton All Starz will take to the stage in the heart of Disneyland Paris on October 26, 2026, as part of the prestigious Disney Performing Arts OnStage programme – and the excitement is already building.
The group, which has branches in Farnworth, Halliwell and Horwich, only auditioned two weeks ago.
Their four-minute submission impressed judges, and they had passed “with flying colours”.
Founder Alison Powell said the news left everyone “dead excited”.
She said: “It was a tough audition and the children worked so hard.
“When we found out we’d been successful, we were absolutely overjoyed and really chuffed.
"We’ve never danced at Disney before, so this is just amazing – especially in our 30th anniversary year.”
Set up in 1996, Bolton All Starz is a volunteer-run community group, welcoming children aged five to sixteen.
All members across the three branches were invited to be part of the Disney experience, and 42 children have chosen to make the trip.
They will travel to Paris on two full coaches, accompanied by parents, for a three-day visit packed with rehearsals, performances and plenty of time to enjoy the rides with a two-day park pass.
On stage, the dancers will perform a 20-minute medley of Disney music, including songs from Descendants, in street and performing arts style dance.
The performers are split into three teams – Team Stitch, Team Mini and Team Mickey, and rehearsals are already underway every Saturday.

Alison said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to perform right in the centre of Disneyland.
“For the children, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Capturing the journey is Kaitlin Power, who now teaches with the group after first joining as a two-year-old dancer herself – a full-circle moment.
As the countdown begins, the group is appealing for local sponsors to help fund costumes and hoodies for the young performers.

Alison said: “We’re run entirely by volunteers.
“If anyone would like to sponsor a costume or a hoodie, we’d be so grateful.
"It would mean so much to the children.”
Thirty years after it was founded, Bolton All Starz is still going strong – and with a performance at the most magical place on earth on the horizon, Alison says she has no plans of slowing down.
She added: “I absolutely love it.
“It's absolutely fantastic. I have no plans of retiring."
