A theatre show described as a celebration of working-class communities is set to take place in Bolton this week as part of the Festival of Libraries.
Award-winning duo Malandra Jacks will bring Census to the Lecture Theatre at Bolton Central Library at 12pm on Friday, June 12.
The 60-minute production combines projection, recorded voices and theatre to tell stories from working-class communities.
Organisers said the show explores shared experiences, memories and neighbourhood life, while touching on issues including class, poverty, mental health and social isolation.
A description for the event states: "This is what happens when a working-class community tells its own story."
The performance will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
Tickets are free and can be booked online through Bolton Library and Museum Services.
The show is recommended for those aged 12 and over due to some mild language and references to themes including economic inequality and mental health.
