A hidden pub hack could help diners cut their meal costs in half.

Customers are being urged to check the Wetherspoons app before ordering, following a viral tip that reveals prices can vary significantly between pubs—sometimes even in the same town.

Jordon Cox, a money-saving expert who shared the advice, found that an all-day brunch at a Wetherspoons in Milton Keynes cost £10.26.

However, the same meal just a short drive away at Captain Ridley's Shooting Party in Bletchley was only £5.75.

What is the Wetherspoons hack?

Mr Cox, known online as Coupon Kid UK, said: "Did you know Wetherspoons pubs offer different pricing at each restaurant?

"This can even happen in the exact same town if there are more than one Spoons."

He encouraged customers to use the Wetherspoons app to compare prices at nearby locations.

Another example showed a price gap in Nottingham.

Ham, egg and chips with a soft drink cost £8.33 at The Roebuck Inn, but just £5.51 at The Gooseberry Bush, less than a mile away.

Mr Cox said diners could save money by choosing a slightly more distant pub if they have more than one option nearby.

The hack has surprised many social media users, with some saying they had never realised how much prices could differ.

One Wetherspoons customer said: "I live in MK and never noticed this.

"Bletchley is usually our go-to one.

"Wow thanks."

Another said it might change their routine, commenting: "I guess it's time to start cherrypicking the Spoons I go to."

Others praised the tip, with one simply saying: "Thank you."

Wetherspoons has long used location-based pricing, with factors such as rent, business rates and operating costs influencing menu prices at individual pubs.

This means customers willing to travel a bit further could pay significantly less for the same food and drink.

At almost half the price in some cases, regular diners could see the savings quickly add up.
