A fire prompted a swift response from firefighters on a busy road this morning.
Firefighters from Bolton North station were called to the scene on Belmont Road, Astley Bridge, at 8.20 am on Monday, June 29, then in attendance for around 10 minutes.
The incident was found to be a small fire, and it is not believed anyone was harmed.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 8:20am this morning (Monday 29 June), one fire engine from Bolton North station was called to a small fire on Belmont Road in Bolton.
“Crews arrived quickly and worked to make the area safe. Firefighters were in attendance for around 10 minutes.”
The emergency services presence was noted by a number of locals.
