For a year, they stepped into roles of police officers, albeit mini, and ended their year on the thin blue line with a celebration of everything they had achieved.

Ninety children have completed Bolton's 2025 to 2026 Mini Police programme, marking the end of a year of activities designed to give them an insight into policing and community work.

The celebration took place on Monday, June 29, at the Toughsheet Stadium, where the youngsters received certificates recognising their efforts.

The group also enjoyed a tour of the stadium, met Bolton Wanderers manager Steven Schumacher and heard from Chief Superintendent Critchley and the Mayor of Bolton.

The 90 participants made up the largest Mini Police cohort in Greater Manchester.

During the programme, they took part in a range of activities including traffic operations, CSI sessions, custody visits, visits to the police museum and community events.

The celebration marked the end of their duties as Mini Police volunteers and recognised their contribution throughout the year.
