Scaffolding has appeared outside a well-used community building, but visitors are being told there is no need for concern.
Farnworth Library remains open as usual while essential maintenance work is carried out on its roof.
Bolton Library and Museum Services said scaffolding has been put up as part of the planned work but confirmed it will not affect access to the library.
Residents can continue using the library throughout the maintenance, with normal services remaining available.
The library is open from 10am to 5pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and from 10am to 7pm on Tuesdays.
It is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Bolton Library and Museum Services shared the update on social media to reassure visitors that the planned work will not disrupt access or opening hours.
