Paddy McGuinness asked fans for “holy water” after being left haunted by what can only be described as supernatural activity in his home.
The Farnworth-born 52-year-old took to social media to show the freaky phenomena.
He said he was looking forward to a “night chilling on the sofa” but was freaked out by the party balloons mysteriously moving across the ceiling roof.
And if the movement wasn’t scary enough, the balloons also made an eerie creaking sound.
Paddy said: “Well that isn’t completely terrifying.
“Got the kids to bed and thought I’d have a nice night chilling on the sofa. If them wasn’t moving enough, what about the noise!! Anyone got any holy water, silver bullets? “
The former Mount St Joseph’s High School received a lot of support from his fans, who offered some words of advice.
Some have told him to “call in the Ghostbusters”, with others telling him to pop them with a cigarette.
One wrote on Instagram: “Call the Ghostbusters, Paddy; aka Nicky and Scholes.”
Another added: “Every time I turn around I see a big bunch of balloons flapping about and have to do a double take; it’s not a monster looking over my bed”.

Balloons move on their own due to buoyancy, static electricity or unseen air currents, and due to helium being lighter than the surrounding air, subtle temperature changes or drafts can push them around.
Some people have an actual fear of balloons known as globophobia.
Paddy rose to fame alongside his childhood friend Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere.
He went on to become one of UK television’s most recognisable hosts and anchored shows like Take Me Out and Top Gear.
