Police raided a flat in Astley Bridge and recovered what they say was a quantity of nitrous oxide.
The raid came following a tip off from members of the community.
The discovery was made during a joint visit today, Monday, July 27 by Bolton North Neighbourhood Team officers and Bolton Council Trading Standards to a shop on Blackburn Road.
The visit was prompted by reports of illicit cigarettes and nitrous oxide being sold in the area.
Enquiries remain ongoing and anybody with information can contact the force.
