The sound of stories and rhythm is set to fill three Bolton libraries this month, with families invited to join free Percussion Storytime sessions.
The sessions will combine rhythm and rhyme and are aimed at the whole family, with no booking required.
The first takes place at Bromley Cross Library at 2.30pm on Thursday, August 13.
Families can then head to Breightmet Library at 10.30am on Tuesday, August 18, followed by Westhoughton Library at 10.30am on Thursday, August 27.
The events are part of Bolton Libraries' Summer Reading Challenge, Read to the Beat, which encourages children to borrow and read books during the holidays.
Children have until Sunday, September 13 to complete six reading challenges and can receive a medal and certificate.
The challenge also includes a prize draw, while Bolton primary school pupils can help their school compete for a special trophy.
