A parked car led to a bus having to be diverted and commuters running late.
A woman with disabilities was among the regular passengers affected when the usual 501 bus failed to arrive on Monday morning due to the obstruction.
It happened at the bus stop on Lightbounds Road in Johnson Fold, after the bus terminal roundabout on the route into Bolton.
Around three to five people would normally catch the bus every morning for work, but the disruption meant they had to find another way to continue their journeys.
The commuter said: "Now, because I have a disability, I can't actually physically walk that far.
"They were blocking the driver's side where the buses go down.
"It's already a narrow street."
She then had to make a 15-minute walk to the main road to catch the 125 instead, after the 501 apparently was only travelling as far as the Doffcocker roundabout near Chorley Old Road.
The usual group arrived at the stop at around 8am and waited, before checking the bus terminus when their service did not appear.
They then used a live tracker and were told the disruption was caused by a "badly parked" vehicle next to the stop
She added: "I think it's just to be a bit more considerate, really.
"So it's either somebody who just didn't care or somebody who's not from that street."
The commuter said the problem was not common on the road and that most people living there were already aware of the traffic problems.
A Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) spokesperson said: “We’ve been informed by the operator that there were minor delays to the 501 service in Bolton this morning as the bus was forced to divert due to an inconsiderately parked vehicle partially blocking the usual route.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to passengers, and we would strongly encourage drivers to be more considerate of other road users when parking their vehicles.”
Buses in must divert if an obstruction completely blocks their path or makes it unsafe to pass.
Operators and drivers coordinate with TfGM under the Bee Network to implement safe alternative routes around road closures, crashes, or long-term utility works.
