Excitement builds as Vienna Kitchen, Westhoughton, nears opening

Vienna Kitchen is located at 2 Lock Lane, Hunger Hill - the site previously occupied by the Lemon Tree café.

Although refurbishments are still underway, the new venture is shaping up to look like an exciting addition to Westhoughton and the surrounding area's food and drink offering.

The exterior of the building has been given a makeover, with a fresh coat of paint laid on and updated signage.

But it is the interior that has seen the brunt of the work. It has been completely gutted, the flooring has been stripped and removed, and the walls have been redecorated.

A new counter has been installed in the main room, and lighting fixtures have been removed or replaced.

So keen are customers to get a taste of the new business, the Vienna Kitchen team have resorted to posting online warnings to let people know they are not yet open.

"We absolutely LOVE how eager everyone is to come and try our food," read one, "but guys, you’re just a little bit too early!

"We’ve had quite a few eager beavers turning up ready for their coffee, sandwiches and something delicious to eat, only to find we are still closed!"

Vienna Kitchen have been posting regular updates to their social media pages as the opening date approached, keeping excitement high in preparation for the big day.

On September 14, the team posted to say the new kitchen was being installed, the electricals were being finalised, and tables and chairs were being put in place.

"And then," the post said, "it's go time."
