We've rounded up four recent Bolton cases heard by magistrates - read on the find out who's been in the dock.
Stealing from shop
A man was fined for stealing from a shop and breaching his criminal behaviour order.
Sean Halpin, 30, indicated a guilty plea at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court to stealing £12 worth of goods from the Co-op in Bolton on July 12 this year.
He also indicated guilty pleas to two counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order on September 12 and 13.
The order had been handed down by Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court forbidding him from going into a shop on Tonge Moor Road, Bolton.
Halpin, of Ainsworth Lane, Bolton, was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £85.
Assault
A man was ordered to pay compensation for assault and for stealing from a shop.
Martin Whittle, 41, admitted to Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court that he had assaulted a man in Bolton on July 9 this year.
He also admitted that on the same day he had stolen legs of lamb worth £178.09 from Aldi in Bolton.
Whittle, of Bolton Road, Radcliffe, was ordered to pay compensation of £90 and a fine of £120.
Drink driving
A man was banned from the roads for drink driving and for driving without a licence or insurance.
Ladislav Duna, 38, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had driven a Seat Ibiza on Deane Road, Bolton while over the legal limit for alcohol on April 8 this year.
That same day he had also been driving without a proper licence or insurance.
Duna, of Willows Lane, Bolton, was banned from driving for 14 months and ordered to pay a total fine of £160 with costs of £85 and a surcharge of £64.
Weapons in private place
A man was fined for keeping knuckle dusters in his home.
Thomas Williams, 43, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court to possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
This was after he was found to have knuckle dusters at his home on November 7 last year.
Williams, of Delamere Gardens, Bolton, was fined £80 and ordered to pay costs of £85 with a surcharge of £32.
Magistrates also made a deprivation order for the knuckle dusters.
