What really gets my goat is when people complain about politics or politicians then tell me they do not vote.
I know it is has been said many times before but it is worth saying again, many people died to preserve our democracy and right to vote.
It is all right tinkering with the electoral system to make it easier to vote but we should be asking why many of use don't vote.
Politicians and political parties should be engaging more with the public and asking them what it is they want rather than assuming what it is they want. Only when the public feel their vote matters will they start to vote.
We should also make voting compulsory like the Australians. When we have everyone voting then polticics will reflect the true feelings of the majority of the public which will then mean your vote will truely count.
