NEW signing Ebi Smolarek has revealed Johan Elmander was a major reason behind his move to Reebok.
The Poland striker has joined Wanderers on a season-long loan deal from Racing Santander.
But Smolarek is old friends with Bolton’s club-record signing from their Feyenoord days in Holland.
And the 27-year-old, who has the option to make his stay a permanent one at the end of the season, admits the Swede played a key role in his move to the Premier League.
“I have seen Bolton play but the main thing for me was that Johan Elmander was here because I played with him at Feyenoord,” he said.
