THE history of Turton and Bromley Cross will be highlighted in a heritage event this weekend.
An exhibition at Birtenshaw Methodist Church in Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, will feature displays and records from the church, as well as photographs, newspaper cuttings and other memorabilia relating to the former Turton Urban District Council.
The Rev Gerald Broadbent said: “This is an excellent opportunity to meet up with friends and acquaintances, and to catch up on old memories.”
The exhibition will be open Saturday from 10am to 3.30pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
