A BOLTON entrepreneur has won two new accolades.

Imran Hakim, who created the award-winning iTeddy toy, has been recognised by the Institute of Directors this week.

Mr Hakim, aged 30, from Halliwell, now holds the titles of North West Young Director of the Year and Lancashire Young Director of the Year, following the awards ceremony on Thursday in Manchester.

Mr Hakim said: “People are the key to any successful growing business and our business is no different.

“While it’s a great privilege to receive this award, it is only made possible by the dedicated team of individuals who consistently deliver superhuman performances in their various roles within our organisation.”

The multi-award winner won over the infamous dragons on the BBC2’s Dragon’s Den programme in February, 2007, to gain investment for his invention, the iTeddy. The toy combines a teddy with technology to entertain children and help them to learn.
