MP TUNES IN: Ruth Kelly with pupils from one of five Bolton schools who performed at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester
LOCAL children were music to the ears of Bolton West MP Ruth Kelly as they performed at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.
Youngsters from five Bolton primary schools joined others from the region for the Find Your Talent event.
The initiative is being piloted in 10 areas across England and gives children and young people the chance to get involved with arts and culture.
Pupils from Chorley New Road Primary School, Claypool Primary School, High Lawn Primary School, Lord Street Primary School and St George’s CE Primary School took part.
Ms Kelly, the Transport Secretary, joined fellow cabinet member, Leigh MP and Culture Secretary, Andy Burnham, for the event as the Labour Party conference got under way.
