A STUDY is to be carried out to secure the long-term future of the Blue Lagoon in Belmont.
The expanse of water — otherwise known as Wards Reservoir — and its surrounding footpaths and land are well-used by locals but the condition of some areas has deteriorated in recent years.
The Hordern Steering Group, formed by residents and councillors, has secured cash from the North-west Development Agency to carry out a study to establish how the local beauty spot can best be preserved for the future.
