A BOLTON street was transformed into a winter wonderland as Peter Kay filmed the video for a charity single he will release at Christmas.
The comedian’s spoof reality show winner Geraldine McQueen chose Mossfield Court, Halliwell, as the festive backdrop for the song.
Special-effects teams covered the entire cul-de-sac with fake snow and then invited its residents, famed locally for their brilliant annual display of Christmas lights, to star in the video.
The single is entitled Once Upon a Christmas Song and has been written by Peter and Take That’s Gary Barlow.
It will be released on Monday, December 15, with all the proceeds being donated to the NSPCC.
It will go head to head with the single released by the eventual winner of the real X Factor TV show, currently attracting big audiences on ITV.
