DREAMS of becoming a pop star have influenced this year’s top girls toys with Camp Rock and High School Musical inspiring wannabe Leona Lewises.

Younger girls will be clamouring for a puppy or a pony — luckily Hasbro’s range of realistic animal toys should suffice.

According to the Toy Retailers Assocaition’s “dream toys” list for 2008, pop stars, pets and a touch of nostalgia will be the theme for this year’s best selling toys.
