A BOLTON chef who will serve up 5,000 turkey dinners in the run-up to Christmas has revealed that his wife is the one who will be slaving away in the kitchen on Christmas day.

Phil Roberts, chef at the Ramada Manchester Picadilly hotel, said: “I spend so much time in the kitchen, on Christmas Day, I let the wife cook!

“We’ll be having seafood to start, prawns with smoked salmon, followed by turkey with all the trimmings and traditional Christmas pudding.”
