T3D, Summerseat, Bury

A SUMMERSEAT firm has established itself as one the UK’s key content providers for the emerging web 3D in just three years.

And the success achieved by T3D reflects its expertise in specialising in 3D interactive modelling, real-time web delivery and manipulation of models.

Based at The Gatehouse with businessman Tony Tickle at the helm, T3D’s steady growth is mirrored in its accounts and forward order book.

Tony said: “Having just secured a major new account with Bovis Lendlease to provide a virtual learning environment for building schools for the future — a contract worth a minimum of five years, our future looks promising.

“We also have tenders out with Salford City Council, Southampton and Portsmouth councils.”

T3D, which has developed cutting-edge applications, has built a strong team of modellers, programmers and support staff.

The firm was launched to provide content for the burgeoning 3D market, which is anticipated to grow massively during the next five years. Tony said: “Key to our proposition is the ability to create high-quality models that are both photorealistic and totally interactive.

“We use a variety of applications to deliver models of whole cities, virtual exhibition centres, vehicle/product viewers and configurators.

“Recent commissions include a virtual Edinburgh Castle for Historic Scotland, new bridge real-time visualisation for Mersey Gateway, building familiarisation applications for the Young Vic and The Roundhouse London, Ford (Focus ST), Caterpillar (Earth Mover) and a huge retail city for a private client that includes Covent Garden and all its outlets.”

He added: “Our 3D Virtual learning Gallery is set to become a standard in virtual world ‘intraverses’ in the UK. We are pitching to three cities in the south of England to model and deliver their cities online.”
