Greenwood James, Bury Road, Bolton

ESTATE and letting agency Greenwood James hopes to achieve success at the double soon.

After winning the coveted start-up business of the year title in 2008, the Bolton business is hoping for a second successive triumph fuelled by “girl power”.

Claire James and Suzanne Greenwood set up the company in Bury Road in January, 2007 after leaving jobs with national estate agent Your Move.

They decided to capitalise on the growing rental market against the backdrop of slow house sales.

Using their drive, expertise and commitment, Greenwood James has become one of the fastest-growing North West letting agent outside Manchester city centre.

Claire James said: “Our initial aim was to become market dominant in our area in the first year. This was successfully achieved.

“Our next objective was to maintain this dominance and grow the lettings business which was a priority as the sales market began to change.

“By offering a comprehensive service that often goes above and beyond the call of duty, we ensure our development and growth will continue.”

Hailing customer satisfaction as being of paramount importance, she said: “Putting the customer at the centre of everything we do is the essence of Greenwood James.

“Our ambition is to deliver excellent customer service.

“The focus is always on customers and we believe that they are the lifeblood on which our service will survive, particularly in a housing market such as this one. We always seek the best way forward for our clients and put their interests at heart.

“The process for ensuring customer service is simple; lead by example — always. Customers enter our offices to a warm welcome and a smile.”

A referral voucher scheme is offered to customers to encourage clients to spread the good word.
